Payment Terms & Conditions

Can Vital, Barcelona, 2025 Cancellation Policy


 

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we aim to be as flexible as possible while ensuring a smooth experience for all participants. Please read the following terms carefully:


 

1. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the retreat. This deposit is due at the time of booking and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Remaining Balance: The remaining balance is due by July 1st, which is 90 days prior to the retreat. Payment reminders will be sent to ensure you are informed.

3. Cancellation by Participant:

• More than 90 days before the retreat (before July 1st): If you need to cancel your place more than 90 days before the start of the retreat, you will forfeit the non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance will not be due, and no further charges will apply. In the event that 1 person cancels in a shared room your room partner will be paired with someone else unless you can replace the booking with another friend. 

• Within 90 days of the retreat (on or after July 1st): If you cancel within 90 days of the retreat, the full amount of the retreat fee (including the non-refundable deposit) will be retained.

4. Cancellation by Retreat Organizers: In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by us (e.g., due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters), a full refund will be issued.

5. Changes to the Retreat: In the event of significant changes (e.g., changes to the venue), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer options to either transfer to a future retreat or receive a partial refund, depending on the circumstances.

6. Flights and Travel Arrangements: Please note that flights are not included in the retreat package. Participants are responsible for booking their own flights to and from Barcelona.In the event of flight cancellations, delays, or any other travel disruptions, we are not responsible for any associated costs or refunds. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers flight cancellations, delays, and other travel-related issues to protect your investment and ensure peace of mind.

 

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers both trip cancellation and medical coverage to protect your investment and travel arrangements.

 

Using The Yoga Artist to make payments

The Yoga Artist uses an online payment portal where you can make payments in a safe and secure environment. In order to use The Yoga Artist to make a payment, you ("you"/"your" or the "customer") must be an individual, that can enter into a legally binding contract under the laws of England and Wales. You may not make a payment and may not accept the Terms and Conditions if you are under the age of 18 or are not authorised to enter into such a contract.

In making a payment through The Yoga Artist, you accept the Terms and Conditions which form a legally binding contract between you and us.

All one-off payments will be deemed to be accepted by The Yoga Artist upon receipt by you of the confirmation email from The Yoga Artist. Regular Payments will be deemed to be accepted by The Yoga Artist upon debiting of the second payment from your specified account.

What happens when you make a payment?

We will immediately deduct the amount from your specified account. Your billing statement will indicate a payment to ‘The Yoga Artist.

What happens when you set up regular payments?

Regular payments will be made via your chosen credit or debit card. It should be noted that this is not a Direct Debit therefore payments are not covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. We will use a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) that allows us to attempt to transaction payments after a previous failed payment attempt. The advantage of CPA is that you will not incur any charges directly from us or your bank for a failed payment that you could incur with a direct debit. However, you may be charged by your bank for overdraft fees or other fees related to your balance.

The initial payment will be deducted from your specified account, we will then deduct the outstanding payments on the payment due dates indicated in your confirmation email.

What happens if you need to change your regular payments?

Please get in touch with us at emma@theyogartist.com to discuss changes to your regular payments. We can then update your scheduled payments as necessary.

If you want to cancel your regular payments

You must notify us at least 5 business days before the next scheduled transaction. To cancel your regular payments please email emma@theyogartist.com  

If you need to update your account information

Email emma@theyogartist.com at least 5 business days before the next scheduled transaction for the update to take effect.

If a transaction is refused by your financial institution

If your regular payment is declined for any reason, including insufficient funds, closed account, or unauthorised account, The Yoga Artist will contact you via email. An email will be sent to the email address that you have provided when making your first payment. This email will notify you that payment has failed.

If you wish to make a complaint

To raise any issues of concern you may email emma@theyogartist.com quoting your name and the details of your complaint. We will aim to respond to you within 15 business days.

Confidentiality

We don’t share your information with anyone, and only use it to provide the services to you that you have subscribed to through The Yoga Artist website.

Unauthorised Use

If you think your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at emma@theyogartist.com We also advise you to contact your financial institution.

Subject Access Requests

Under the UK Data Protection Act, You have the right to ask Us to see the personal information that We hold about You (this is known as a 'subject access request') by emailing us at emma@theyogartist.com . We will respond to a subject access request as required upon receiving: (a) the Subject Access Request Fee; (b) information that We need in order to identify You; and (c) the information You need.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
